Jonah Verdon is proving to be a versatile breakout talent in entertainment. Jonah fetched big laughs - and garnered an impressive collection of rave reviews – playing twin brother and sister in Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick's critically acclaimed Off Broadway hit, DISASTER!
Jonah was thrilled to make his debut on the Broadway stage when he performed at the Jacobs Theatre for the MAKE BELIEVE ON BROADWAY GALA, hosted by Sir Ian McKellen and honoring Susan Sarandon. He next appeared on the Minskoff stage at BC/EFA’s EASTER BONNET COMPETITION. Jonah was heard worldwide on SiriusXM radio when Seth Rudetsky interviewed him for the popular program, SETH SPEAKS. Jonah was honored to have his roles immortalized on paper when Broadway illustrator, Squigs, featured Jonah (twice!) in his caricature of the DISASTER! cast.
The Broadway Dreams Foundation chose Jonah to host the VIP red carpet interviews at the spectacular NIGHT OF DREAMS GALA in New York City's Bryant Park, where he greeted Broadway's brighest, including the TONY Award-winning casts of KINKY BOOTS and ALADDIN.
Jonah developed a series for Carnegie Hall’s Musical Exchange educational outreach program called MAKING IT HAPPEN, where he hosts interviews with professionals in the entertainment industry about what it takes to forge a lasting career in the arts. He has interviewed an impressive number of well-known celebrities like Broadway, film and recording stars Morgan James, Emerson Steele, Tim Federle, and Lilla Crawford. Jonah released a special feature on the 68th Annual TONY Awards, where he interviewed choreographer-to-the-stars Spencer Liff and legendary actor Kevin Bacon.
Earlier in his career, Jonah appeared in the North American Premiere of ZORRO (The Alliance Theatre), CARMEN (The Atlanta Opera), THE KING AND I (Baayork Lee), and LA BOHEME (The Atlanta Opera). Jonah's work includes an array of commercial, industrial, and voiceover projects. In addition, he appeared on screen in the short film LIBRETTO and the feature films PARENTAL GUIDANCE and BREAKING GLASS.
Jonah is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association. He has enjoyed training with top instructors for both theatrical and on-camera skills in LA, Atlanta, and New York City. In addition to his commitment to forge a successful bi-coastal career on stage and on screen, Jonah is fascinated with science. Jonah enjoys programming and developing code. He is a prolific inventor, creating art, clothing, and functional machines out of ordinary household supplies like paper and duct tape. An impressive list of celebrities have carried his custom-designed duct tape handbags to events like The James Beard Awards, The Drama Desk Awards, and The TONY Awards. Jonah donates one-of-a-kind handbags to favorite charities to help raise money for causes he supports.
